What happens behind it

1. Before every reply, the server fetches the currently open slots from the real calendar and hands them to the model as the only times it may offer.
2. The model decides when you have agreed to a specific time — but it does not write the booking.
3. The server re-checks the chosen slot against the live calendar, validates the email and the required booking notes, and only then creates the appointment.
4. That split is the point: the model interprets the conversation, and a deterministic server action performs the irreversible bit.
5. Once a booking succeeds, it is echoed back on every later turn so the conversation cannot be talked into creating a duplicate.

What it solves

The back-and-forth between an enquiry and a confirmed time, which is where a lot of interested people quietly drop out. Also the opposite failure: systems that claim a booking that never happened.

Be aware

• Name and phone number are asked for before the chat opens, and a real lead record is created — this is a working funnel, not a sandbox.
• If no calendar is connected, the chat runs a demonstration booking instead and says so plainly in the same reply. It never lets you believe an appointment exists when it does not.
